Hello all.
Found this quote while I was reading one of my library books. Somehow, I felt that it is actually good for us to think about it, together.
Tapi, jika kita kasihkan Allah, kasih diberi janji-Nya pasti. Itulah yang kekal abadi."
Met up with dearest Firah yesterday. Talked to her about alot of things. Between me and her, we've been exceptionally close. Maybe because, our age difference is close. Or maybe because we're cousins who simply can't get enough of each other. Haha. We grew up together. Maybe, that helps to explain why? Alhamdullilah, her leg is a bit better. At least, she says that its less painful. Which is a good improvement right? Harap-harap there will be more positive improvements. Insyallah.
This holidays, Mummy trained me hard to be a lady. I mean, seriously. Because, she says that this is the only time where I will learn. Tak payah nak sibuk-sibuk cari kerja dekat luar. Belajar untuk jadi anak dara dekat rumah. Haha. And so far, thank God, I've managed to complete all the tasks that she gave me to the best of my ability.
1) Cook! (at first, quite alot of screaming and complains from me but I got the hang of it somehow.) And now, I fell in love with cooking. Serious. Macam love at first sight gitu.
2) Sewing. (It is ultra hard!) What made it more hard would be that I forgot my fundamental sewing skills that I picked up during sec 1 and 2 days. So, technically, have to start from square 1. Was a noob with the machine at first, but it slowly became my good friend after words.
3) Market shopping. (At first, she temankan. Now, I am able to do market shopping all by myself) For those who never tried this before, you have to really try it. (Ewah, macam promoter lah pula). Its like a learning journey okay. You get to learn what fish is this, how to test for good fruits and what are the various names of vegetables and how they are used in each cooking. But, most of all, you get to learn the art of bargaining! Which can be really fun, if you get the hang of it. And yes, always be polite and smile. Confirm okay punya!
4) Household Chores (Woah! Exercise time!) Household chores are really never ending. Serious. Serious. And I always get pissed off with the guys in the house (namely, daddy and aleem) because they always messed up what I've cleaned. Frustrating tahu!
5) Lipat baju & susun cantik-cantik. This is where my organisational skills come into play. And if your mood isn't at all good that day, then, forget it lah, confirm your cupboard would be in a mess. Must do it with delicate fingers. Butter fingers not allowed. And there's only 1 word to describe it all: NEAT. (:
6) Shopping. I love this part the most. But, don't get me wrong, the art of shopping isn't the same as adopting the principle of "Buying everytime you go out. Else, what's the point of going out?". In fact, its a whole new different thing altogether. Shopping with mothers mean finding bargains (yes, those 3 for $10 kind of stuff) and putting things together so that at the end of the day, the finish product makes it look like you get things from all those posh shops! Amazing kan? And yes, shopping with mum would also mean, putting ahead the family's needs first before yourself.
There's still many other things that I need to learn. After I completed this full course, which mum signed me up voluntarily (hehe), I will share with you my experiences okay.
Got to go now.
With loves.
